Eligibility Criteria@SCIT

• Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes).

For MBA (DS & DA)

• Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes).
• Should have Mathematics Subject compulsory in 12th Standard
• KM – Attested copy of Migration cert. duly signed by Relief Commissioner / Competent Authority.
• DA – Candidate claiming reservation under this category shall submit the certificate from Competent Authority which should clearly state that the extent of the disability is not less than 40 % & disability is permanent in nature.
• Candidates appearing for Final Year Bachelor’s Degree Examinations may apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
• All candidates applying against reservation seats must provide documentary proof as per requirements of Symbiosis International University (SIU).

Selection Criteria@SCIT

  Entrance Exam:

• Candidates must appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), which is a common entrance exam for various Symbiosis Institutes, including SCIT.
• SNAP evaluates candidates on various parameters like General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, Analytical and Logical Reasoning.

  Shortlisting for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI):

• Based on the SNAP scores, candidates are shortlisted for the next stage, which typically includes a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI).
• Shortlisted candidates are notified by SCIT and provided details about the WAT and PI rounds.

  Written Ability Test (WAT):

• Candidates may be required to participate in a Written Ability Test (WAT) where they need to write essays or short responses on given topics.
• WAT evaluates candidates on their written communication skills, critical thinking, and articulation of ideas.

  Personal Interview (PI):

• Shortlisted candidates then appear for a Personal Interview (PI) conducted by SCIT.
• The PI assesses various aspects including communication skills, subject knowledge, interpersonal skills, and overall personality of the candidate.

  Final Selection:

• The final selection is typically based on the candidate’s performance in SNAP, Written Ability Test (WAT), Personal Interview (PI), academic records, and relevant work experience (if applicable).
• Merit lists or admission offers are announced based on the cumulative scores obtained in these stages.

SNAP 2023 Pattern: 7 Important Points to Note

• SNAP 2023 is computer-based test
• SNAP 2023 is of one hour duration exam for all the three dates
• Total number of questions reduced to 60 in SNAP 2023
• All questions are of MCQ type
• No Special Questions in SNAP 2023 as against 5 questions earlier
• No variable marking scheme, each right answer carries +1 mark in SNAP 2023
• 1/4 Negative Marking for incorrect answer

• Interested candidates can apply online only through the official website https://www.scit.edu/

• For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology students should complete the following procedure:

Step 1 –  Apply for Snap 2023

• Visit: https://www.snaptest.org/ for register and pay online for Online SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) Examination, 2023.
• Online SNAP 2023 test fee is INR 1950/- (+ applicable Payment gateway charges, GST and any other taxes).

Step 2 – Register for SCIT –  MBA 

• While registering for SNAP, applicants has to also apply for SCIT in the same application form. A registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (+ applicable Payment Gateway Charges, GST and any other taxes) per programme is to be paid to SCIT for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply.

Step 3 – Appear for GE PI WAT

• This is mandatory, without which the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective programme(s).
• Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test 2023 for further selection process at SCIT. Appearing for the SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in the selection process at SCIT.
